I can not find any application widgets / all my application widgets are gone!
Unfortunately the Android operating system does not allow to use any application widget when the application has been moved to the sd card! You have to move the application back to internal storage and restart your phone to use the widgets again!
I can only see 3 Business Calendar widgets in the widget list! Aren't there more widget sizes?
In the settings of the app you will find an option "Available Widgets" (the option will also show up when you select our menu item "About"). Using this option you can choose which widgets should be available in the list of widgets when you are adding a new widget to your home screen. Please notice that you will have to restart your Android device for any changes here to take effect (not required if you are using Android version 3 or higher).
I would like to categorize and color code my events but I don't know how to do it!
You can categorize and color code your events by adding different Google calendars using the Google Calendar website. The calendars will be synchronized to your phone then. I think it is good practice to use different Google calendars for different kind of events (for example work events, privat event, family events,...).
I would like to edit/delete a single event of a series but I don't get that option!
To edit or delete a single event in a series the series has to be synced with Google before! As soon as the event is synced with Google you will also get the option "Only this event" when you want to edit or delete a recurrent event! Unfortunately the calendar format that has to be used in Android applications does not offer any other solution at the moment!
I don't get any reminder messages / alarms for my events!
The free version depends on the alarm messages of the stock calendar application so please make sure you don't have disabled the alarm messages of the stock calendar when using Business Calendar Free! The paid version also is including our own Business Calendar reminders with some additional options, you can enable them in the reminder settings!
I am missing some options for recurrent events (e.g. an option for biweekly events)!
You have to select the main repetition rule first (e.g. "Weekly"), then some additional options will show up like the repetition interval, the days of the week and the end date of the repetition!
How can I search for events in the past?
When you are performing a search for events using the magnifying glass shaped icon only events will show up that will take place in the future. If you want to find events that have taken place in the past you just have to scroll the result list up and events in the past also will be displayed. If no event in the future is matching your search request the past events will show up immediately.
There also is an option in the settings to specify the search period (Settings->Agenda and Day View). The search period can be set from 1 month to 10 years (please notice that a query will be executed faster if the search period is shorter).
I am not able to scroll my agenda widget using finger gestures!
Please notice that with Android version 2.x it generally is not possible to create scrollable widgets for the stock home screen launcher of the device. Only the phone manufacturers can make scrollable widgets for Android version 2.x when they have modified the Android operating system (but 3rd party applications still are not allowed to use these modifications).
The only chance to get scrollable widgets for Android version 2.x is to install an alternative home screen launcher like GO Launcher Ex or ADW Launcher Ex as these home screen replacements do offer the possibility to add scrollable widgets! If you have installed an alternative home screen launcher that support scrollable widgets you just have to check the option "Enable Scrollable Mode" in the settings of the agenda widget and you will be able to scroll the widget using finger gestures.
Currently the following alternative home screen launchers are supported by our agenda widget: GO Launcher Ex, ADW Launcher Ex, LiveHome, dxTop, Nemus Launcher, Regina Launcher, LauncherPro (LauncherPro does not support all features of scrollable widgets therefore there will be a simplified widget for LauncherPro).
After switch to summer time / return to standard time all my events are shifted by one hour!
The app is using the internal Android calendar database and the time of an event is automatically changed by the Android operating system when switching to summer time or returning to standard time if there is something wrong with the time zone settings of your Android device or in the Google web calendar! Please have a look at the time zone settings of your Google calendars (you can find it using the Google Calendar website) and also at the current time zone setting of your Android device. It both(!) has to be set to the same (and of course to the correct) timezone! If a time zone setting is not correct the Android operating system will not realize that it should not move the time of the event when switching to summer time / returning to standard time.
I don't have a credit card so I can't buy your application / I don't have access to the Google Play Store at all!
Please have a look at our "Alternative Markets" site on this homepage! We have published the application on some alternative stores that offer some additional payment methods so you can buy and download the application there!
Some calendars I have on my Google web interface are missing on my Android device!
We are using the built-in synchronization functionality of the Android operating system to synchronize your events with the Google web calendar! If some calendars are missing on the Android device although the Google account has been properly configured and synced on the device there may have been a synchronization error. Sometimes the Android operating system has some problems with the synchronization of a new calendar, it may help to delete the calendar storage of the Android device. Please notice that ALL calendar events will be deleted on the device, therefore you should NOT do this if there are any events that are not synchronized with Google. Please also notice that your data will only be synced one month back so you won't have older data on your phone afterwards. You can delete the calendar storage in the Android settings (Applications->Manage applications->Calendar Storage->Clear Data) and then synchronize all Google calendars again.
Keep calm, your events won't have been deleted! If the calendar is still selected and no events are showing up there most likely will have been a synchronization error. We are using the built-in synchronization functionality of the Android operating system to synchronize your events with the Google web calendar and unfortunately sometimes the communication between Google and Android does not work as it should!
It may help to delete the calendar storage of the Android device. Please notice that ALL calendar events will be deleted on the device, therefore you should not do this if there are any events that are not synchronized with Google! Please also notice that the events will only be re-synchronized one month in the past afterwards. You can delete the calendar storage in the Android system settings (Applications->Manage applications->Calendar Storage->Clear Data) and then synchronize all Google calendars again.
